The treks to Maenam Hill come as a combined visit to the Maenam Wildlife Sanctuary, where one can spot the rare species of Himalayan birds and animals i.e. red panda, marbled cat, blood pheasant, magpies, and various sunbirds amidst their natural habitat. The trail is through dense rhododendron and oak forests, culminating in silver firs and other conifers on top.
Maenam Hill situated at an altitude of 3140 m, is a popular place for offering the most promising views of the richly forested hills contrasting with the lustrous Mt. Khangchendzonga behind. The serene and meditative surroundings inspire the visitors to get lost in its mesmerising beauty and become one with nature.
