Arrival at NJP rail station. You will be received by our executive and helped in boarding the awaiting vehicle. We will drive you through some of the most pristine landscapes including undulating tea gardens and forests with intermittent small towns and villages.
The forests of Buxa with an area of 760 sq km consist of a large variety of animals and birds. Check-in at Hotel.
Depending on the time available you may also visit the nature interpretation center located at Rajabhatkhawa. Free Evening. Overnight at Rajabhatkhawa.
Full-day sightseeing inside the forest. Morning visit to Jayanti. After breakfast visit Jayanti, a 15 km drive through the forest to a small village beside the Jayanti river on the Indo-Bhutan boarder. The place offers excellent scenic beauty.
Optional: Trip to Santalabari. From Jayanti, you will be taken to Santalabari about 15 km away. This is the starting point for treks to Buxa Fort. Depending upon your physical ability you may trek to the fort which is about 4.5 km (about 1.5 hours one way). Buxa Fort offers significant historical value as well as natural beauty.
Trek to Pukhuri Hill from Jayanti. It is a 45-minute walk through the Saal forest to the hilltop with a large pond. The pond is considered sacred by the locals and the area is rich in flora and fauna. You must higher a govt. approved guide at Jayanti to visit Pukhuri Hill.
You may also take a Jeep safari from Jayanti which will take you inside the forest to a few watchtowers. The cost of the forest safari is additional and not included in the package.
Depending on the time available you may also take a boat ride into the deep forest at Sikiajhora.

After breakfast checkout and drive to Chilapata. Chilapata is a forest that connects two famous forests of North Bengal, Jaldapara and Buxa. Check-in your forest resort.
Jeep Safari inside Chilapata forests – Post lunch safari inside the forest in a forest department-approved jeep, you will be visiting forest villages such as Kodalbasti and CC line and will be taken to the banks of river Torsa riverbed. (The forest safari is to be arranged by the guests directly by paying an additional amount to the forest department. Our vehicle will not be allowed to enter the forest. The cost of a forest safari is not included in this package). Overnight at Chilapata.
Morning you can undertake additional Jungle Safari in the morning (self-arranged at Own Cost). After breakfast drive to Jaldapara Wildlife Sanctuary (40 km, 1 hour). Proceed to Jaldapara, home of the famous one-horned Rhino and a variety of other wildlife, birds, and forests. Jaldapara is spread over an area of 216.51 sq km. Check in Resort/hotel. Overnight at Jaldapara.
Morning forest visit at Jaldapara, and drive to Gorumara. Early morning Elephant Ride / Jeep Safari (Forest Safari self-arranged at own cost). Return to your hotel/resort for Breakfast.
Jaldapara to Gorumara, 87 Kms in 2 hrs – Check out from Jaldapara and drive to Gorumara.Enroute visit Southkhair bari Leopard rescue centre. Lataguri used to be an important timber trading center in Dooars but now it is a very popular tourist destination for its proximity to Gorumara National Park. The Gorumara forests have a very good population of one-horned rhinos, leopards, elephants, and bison. Check in at the Hotel. Free Evening.Overnight at Gorumara.
Early morning Jeep safari for 2 hrs to Gorumara Watch Tower (Safari Self-arranged at own cost). Visit Rhino Point and Jatra Prasad Tower deep inside the forest to see the wild animals in their natural habitat. Both towers give a panoramic view of the vast forest and grassland of Gorumara National Park. Return to your hotel for Breakfast.
Gorumara to Samsing and Suntaleykhola Excursion, 45 km in 2 hrs (One way) – After breakfast drive to Samsing (Alt 3050Ft / 925M), a small foothill village surrounded by tea gardens and forests. Also, proceed to Suntaleykhola to enjoy the scenic landscape. You may also walk down for 2 km to Rocky Island on the bank of Wild Murti River. In the afternoon return to Gorumara.Overnight at Gorumara.
